Four Arkansas Softball Players Participated in the Softball NSW (New South Wales) International Cup in Sydney, Australia

Four Arkansas girls were invited to participate in the New South Wales International Cup held in Sydney, Australia this Summer. They played for America's Team-Johnson, which is in connection with the ACIS tour group.

Krissyn Icenhower, class of 2026 from Dierks, Arkansas, Emberlin Caldwell, class of 2023 of Van Buren, Arkansas, Grace Trauger of Hope, Arkansas, and 2023 Fouke graduate Olivia Huckabee all were selected to play in the International Cup.

The girls team earned 2nd place as they played 10 games in 3 days against competition from New Zealand, NSW teams, and other USA teams. The competition started on July 10th and played through July 12th. The tourney took place at the Blacktown International Olympic Softball Stadium, which hosted the 2000 Olympic Softball Games. Krissyn, Emberlin, Grace, and Olivia each got to experience the Aussie culture, learned to surf, attend the Wildlife Currumbin Sanctuary, visit the Opera House, and many other great places in Sydney and Brisbane. It was a great, once in a lifetime experience, where they had the opportunity to meet other athletes from different parts of the world.
