FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas will have four players participating in the NBA Draft Combine May 15-21 in Chicago, Ill.
In all, 78 players have been invited to the event. The Razorbacks are freshman guards Anthony Black and Nick Smith Jr. freshman guard-forward Jordan Walsh and junior guard Ricky Council IV. Guard Davonte "Devo" Davis wasn't among the invitees. North Dakota State forward Grant Nelson, who is being recruited by Arkansas, was also invited.
Black, 6-7, 198, played in 36 games this season. He played 34.8 minutes per game. He averaged 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.6 block each outing. Black shot 45.3% from the field, 70.5 from free throw line and 30.1 from 3-point territory.
Smith, 6-5, 185, was limited to 17 games due to a knee injury. He averaged 25.8 minutes per outing. Smith averaged 12.5 points per game, 1.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.8 steal and 0.1 block. Smith shot 37.6% from the field, 74.0 from the free throw line and 33.8 from 3-point land.
Council, 6-6, 205, played in 36 games this season. His averages were 34.1 minutes each outing, 16.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.3 blocks. Council shot 43.3% from the field, 79.4 free throw and 27.0 from deep.
Walsh, 6-7, 205, saw action in 36 games. Playing an average of 24.4 minutes per game allowed Walsh to post numbers of 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.9 assist, 1.1 steals and 0.5 block each game. He shot 43.3% from the field, 71.2 from the charity stripe and 27.8 from the 3-point land.
