Franklin, Moore Honored

FAYETTEVILLE - Arkansas Razorbacks third-year sophomore center fielder Christian Franklin and second-year freshman second baseman Robert Moore were named Second Team Preseason All-Americans Monday by Baseball America.
Franklin and Moore, both granted their 2020 eligibility in 2021 as were all who played in the abbreviated by covid-19 virus 2020 spring sports season, both are regarded defensively among the best in the nation at their positions.
Offensively, 2-year starter Franklin hits .381 last seas scoring a team high 21 runs including eight extra base hits for last year’s 11-5 Hogs.
Franklin already has been named a Preseason First-Team All-American by Perfect Game and D-1Baseball.com.
Moore, a 2019 December high school grad immediately becoming the second baseman for Coach Dave Van Horn’s 2020 Razorbacks coming off consecutive College World Series appearance hit .317 last season, with 11 RBI and earned SEC Player of the Week and National Player Week recognition for hitting .667 during a week he knocked in nine runs.
Moore already has ben named Third-Team Preseason All-American by D1Baseball.com.
