FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM CST SATURDAY

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to 9 AM CST Saturday.

EVENT...Cold high pressure building across the region will bring overnight low temperatures down to near freezing overnight tonight.

TIMING...Temperatures forecast to approach freezing in some areas late in the evening and fall slightly below freezing across much of warned area by daybreak. Temperatures to rise above freezing by mid-morning.

IMPACT...Precautions should be taken to protect tender vegetation prone to frost or freeze conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
