Manager of the Hope Farmer's Market, Deanna Gilbert, right, spoke to the Hope Civitan Club at the club's regular meeting Tuesday, May 9.  Pictured with club President Mona Still, Gilbert told the Civitans that the Farmer's Market was off to a good start with 12 vendors on opening day May 2.  She said she is sure the market will grow with more vendors as produce becomes ready to harvest. She said special efforts will be made to include health, education, and entertainment guests at an "extra table" throughout the market season.  Gilbert also said an effort is made to purchase fresh produce from the vendors for the Hope School District's summer feeding program.  The Hope Farmer's Market is held on Tuesday mornings, beginning at 7 a.m., at the Hub in downtown Hope.
