GMCS Competes at HCAA Championship XC Meet in Fort Smith

Gmcs Cross Country Lady Saints Xc Saints Xc

Fort Smith- The final race of the GMCS Cross Country team was this weekend and the Saints and Lady Saints performed very well. Heaven Garcia placed 6th overall at the state meet, as she ran a very good race, and Kylie Bullock placed 14th overall to round out the Sr. High runners for the Lady Saints. Ben Martin led the way for the Boys team as he finished 11th overall and Jason Stockton ran 16th.

In the Jr. High events, Abby Mendoza finished in 7th place overall to lead the Jr. Girls team. Gracie Bullock ran 17th, and Preslee Peck finished 18th. The girls won 4th place as a team. In the boys event, Kason Flowers finished 23rd, Harrison McClain ran 25th, and Chase Sundberg ran 33rd. The boys team finished 5th as a team.

Great season by the GMCS XC team and next year should be an even better one, as they will be returning all their runners.
