Gold Star mother Jennifer Robinson of Hope has been given a Nissan Rogue thanks to Progressive Insurance’s Keys to Progress program, which has been awarding cars to veterans and Gold Star families for ten years.

Enterprise Rent-a-Car has agreed to pay six months of the cost of insurance, Robinson told our reporter. She said this year Progressive has given away 102 cars, having given away 50 over the previous ten years of the program.

In 2009 Robinson’s son, Carlo Montel Robinson, was lost in an improvised explosive device detonation near his vehicle near Kabul, Afghanistan.
