LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Following the Governor’s meeting with her Cabinet today, Sanders’ spokeswoman Alexa Henning released the following readout:

“This afternoon, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders held a Cabinet meeting at the Arkansas State Capitol. She provided an overview of her recent overseas trade mission to Europe with Commerce Secretary McDonald, sharing that aerospace companies showed strong interest in future investment here in Arkansas. Multiple Cabinet secretaries then presented on their agencies’ work. Secretary of the Military and Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard Maj. Gen. Stubbs gave an update from his recent trip to Texas to visit the Arkansas National Guard stationed there assisting Texas law enforcement with border security operations.
Secretary Profiri spoke about his plans to better streamline and organize the Department of Corrections and retain and recruit employees, and Secretary McDonald discussed important workforce initiatives for the state and a new system at the Department of Commerce that will increase scrutiny of procurements to cut down on costs. Governor Sanders thanked the Secretaries for their hard work and close collaboration in implementing bold, conservative reforms that will take our state to the top.”
