Governor Sanders Welcomes Working Group’s Recommendations to Combat Human Trafficking
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The human trafficking working group Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders established by Executive Order today released a list of recommendations to support human trafficking victims and prevent human trafficking. “Human trafficking is a heinous crime that far too often goes unnoticed and unreported. As Governor, I’m committed to ending this atrocity in Arkansas,” said Governor Sanders. “I welcome this working group’s expertly crafted recommendations and look forward to working with government officials and outside stakeholders to put them into action.”
Governor Sanders tasked the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) and Arkansas Department of Public Safety (DPS) with bringing together expert stakeholders to develop this plan. A description of their recommendations is available on both departments’ websites.
