The Hempstead County Economic Development Corporation (HCEDC) met January 20th for their monthly meeting. A discussion was held on finding 400 acres in Hempstead county for a new venture, and the real estate committee will follow up on all leads. The housing committee has visited two other cities to get ideas on expanding housing opportunities in Hempstead County. 

The EDC has had three industrial leads in the last month from AEDC for new businesses; proposals were submitted to the state agency to locate those firms here.

The HCEDC is currently working with three local industries on plant expansions by providing state and local incentives.
