All of the communities of Hempstead County have amazing histories. Come hear Blevins native, Danny Montgomery, talk about his ongoing project of documenting the history of the community of Blevins, Arkansas. Montgomery’s family have connections to Blevins and Wallaceburg Township since 1883. He and other residents of the Blevin’s area have designed a website to document the history of this community at www.blevinsarhistory.com. Come see and hear about their amazing work. 

The Hempstead County Historical Society will meet on Tuesday evening May 28, 2024 at the Presbyterian Church in Washington, Arkansas at 7pm. The church is located at 115 Lawrence Street. Everyone is welcome. 

The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. Come and share your history with us.
