On December 20th, 2023, at approximately 1315 hours, agents from the 8th North Drug Task Force, Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, and Hope Police Officers took Charles Pugh of Hope into custody on a warrant for delivery of Controlled Substance charges.
Agents executed a search warrant on a black, 2004 BMW 525i, belonging to Charles Pugh at the Hempstead County Sheriff's Office impound yard at 4:30 p.m.. Agents located one prepackaged baggie of suspected marijuana in the driver's side of the vehicle. Agents located a zip-lock baggie in the back passenger floorboard of the vehicle containing four baggies of prepackaged marijuana.
Agents went to Charles' residence at 412 Hayward and executed a search warrant on the residence at 2:00 p.m. and located a prescription bottle that did not belong to Charles containing hydrocodone pills. a Glock 21—45 ACP, an empty sandwich bag box in the kitchen trash can containing three baggies of suspected methamphetamine. Agents also confiscated $1,050 in U.S. currency.
Charles Pugh was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Center where he was booked on Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, maintaining a Drug Premises, Possession Of Firearms By Certain Persons, Possession of Controlled Substance and Using a Communication Device. Pugh is being held pending a first court appearance.
