The months leading up to Election Day are filled with much info from the candidates, but this day is also about the voters, poll workers, and many more who do their part to maintain the democratic process. In this post, you will find videos, photos, and more from those at the voting centers today!

At the Hope Coliseum in Fair Park at 1:45 p.m., ten voting machines were available, with at least seven and as much as nine of them being used at a time. The Hope Coliseum is one of 11 voting centers in the county.

Interviews with 12 voters as they were leaving the polls revealed that nine were driven by civic duty or the knowledge that lives had been shed for the sake of the vote. About three said they were motivated by the desire to beat Democrats, with one voter saying, "The Democratic Party is destroying this country."

Polling workers said the rate of voters coming in had been steady today but was hitting a peak that started after the lunch hour.

At the Emmet voting center, poll workers reported that 50 had voted by 3:45 p.m. They characterized turnout for the day as low. That center had two voting machines and a tabulator. During Swark.Today's visit, none were being used.

The polls for the Arkansas Primary close at 7:30 tonight. Results will be reported tonight by our reporters from Hempstead County and Nevada County.

In Prescott, Swark.Today visited two voting centers, both on East 2nd Street but a little under a mile apart. At Central Baptist, poll workers said the turnout was "good," with a lot of first time voters. At 7:20 p.m. 231 had voted or were just about to.

At the other Prescott voting center, at First Baptist Church, also on East 2nd street, 218 was the final total of voters at 7:30 pm.

Poll workers are beginning to pack up at a few minutes after 7:30 p.m. at the second Prescott voting center in First Baptist Church.
