Hempstead County is built on the impact and history of the many residents that migrated to this county to make a new life for themselves and their families. The family of Juan Rivera is such a family that settled here in Hempstead County, Arkansas and established a successful dining business, Amigo Juan Mexican Cafe.  

Come and learn about the history of Juan Rivera family and the impact they have made at the Hempstead County Historical Society on Tuesday evening September 28, 2021 at the Banquet Room at Amigo Juan Mexican Cafe in Hope, Arkansas at 7pm. The Banquet Room next to the restaurant at 1300 North Hervey Street. Everyone is welcome. The guest speaker for the evening will be local restaurant owner, Juan Rivera.

An evening meal catered by Amigo Juan Mexican Cafe will be provided for $12 a person. To register for the meal call 870-703-8256 or email [email protected] by Monday, September 27.

The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. Come and share your history with us.
