Director of The Hempstead County Library Courtney McNiel said, "This is our favorite day of the year. We love decorating for the coffee, we love the buffet of food and just getting to see everyone come out, it is just the best. We always like to use this coffee to kick off our summer programs which will begin July 9."
The 2024 summer reading programs include:
- The Balloon Man on July 9 at 2 pm
- Zoofari on July 16 at 2 pm
- Historic Washington State Park on July 18 at 2 pm
- Big Poppa Bubble on July 23 at 2 pm
- Magic Mr. Nick Magic Show 1 pm & Foam Party 2 pm on July 25
The library will also host the "School's Out For Summer Extravaganza" event on July 12th at 2 pm.
The programs are a ton of fun each year. They always pack the house and the kiddos love them. Be sure to mark your calendar to visit the Hempstead County Library this summer at 500 S Elm in Hope.
