Hempstead County Master Gardeners Host ‘All About Rain Barrels’ Workshop

The Hempstead County Master Gardeners are hosting a rain barrel construction workshop on July 29th at 6 p.m. at the University of Arkansas Southwest Research and Extension Center (362 Highway 174 North, Hope).

Guest presenter, Dawson Bailey, Howard County agriculture agent, will demonstrate the process of building your own rain barrel as well as explain the benefits of using rain barrels for irrigation.  The rain barrel he constructs during the workshop will go home with one lucky attendee from a random drawing.  Must be present to win.  This workshop is free to attend and open to all; however, we do ask that you call the Hempstead County Extension office to RSVP for refreshment planning purposes.  For more information, contact Kim Rowe at the Hempstead County Extension office at 870-777-5771.
