Prior to the dinner, Betty Wingfield - Hempstead County 4-H Agent, travelled to
the area schools presenting programs and demonstrations on table manners/etiquette. The
dinner offered an opportunity for students to practice these skills.
The meal, provided by the Hempstead County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee,
consisted of stuffed pork tenderloin, roasted vegetables, and assorted desserts. The room
was decorated with a black and gold theme by the Hempstead County Cooperative
Extension Office. Youth servers for the evening were students from Garrett Memorial
Christian School.
This event, co-sponsored by the Hempstead County Farm Bureau Women’s
Committee and the Hempstead County Cooperative Extension Office, is held every other
year.
