From Hempstead County Judge, Jerry Crane,

Beginning Wednesday, June 8, 2022, Hempstead County Road Department will be repairing County Road 161 W approximately 1500 ft where it runs into County Road 5.

Please drive with caution in this area or take an alternate route due to the fact the road may be closed intermittently.  In the event the road is closed, the department will have signs out. 

This project may take 3 to 4 days or longer.  We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
