Heritage Wall Dedication in Downtown Hope

Heritage Wall Dedication in Downtown Hope
The Heritage Wall Dedication by the Southwest AR Arts Council took place in Downtown Hope recently unveiling a plaque in honor of the project and many citizens came to witness the important event.

As everyone gathered in the conference room at the depot to hear about the project and what it’s all about, SWAAC President, Dolly Henley and Betty Joe Hayes spoke on the matter. “I want to thank everyone for enduring the weather to witness a great moment for Hope. The support is much so very appreciated. Today is marking on of the most important days for Hope,” said President Henley. “This is a great moment for City of Hope and I wish for us to keep moving forward likes this for the sake of our community,” shared Hayes.

The Heritage Wall Millennium Project was established by the Southwest Arts Council and it’s members in 2000 celebrating the railroad heritage of Hope and Hempstead County.

You can visit the dedication site at the Depot in downtown and see the plaque for yourself. The SWAAC was humbled by everyone showing up and wishes to do more for the community in the future.
