Logline: After blowing the lid on a comet conspiracy, astronomer Charley Codwell
loses everything, forcing him to live with his grandmother. As Charley grapples with his
own redemption, he must unravel the truth and prevent mass hysteria before time runs
out for both his reputation and a world on the brink of madness.
Good Time Charley is a SAG-AFTRA feature film covering the psychology of
“herd-mentality,” and one’s refusal to conform to fit in with a group or society. At its
root, it’s a drama with a touch of dark comedy. Set in Central Arkansas in 2024, we
explore a society filled with extremists; individuals deep in their echo chambers/ways.
Emotional, awkward, raw, and rooted in character, Good Time Charley is a love letter to
those who feel that they don’t belong or cannot have a normal human interaction
without making it a cringy disaster.
Corbin Pitts expresses his excitement: "I am thrilled to share Good Time Charley with
the world. This project has been a labor of love, and I am grateful for the opportunity to
showcase the incredible talent and creativity within Central Arkansas.”
