HHS Agricultural Complex cuts the ribbon
The Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting this morning for Hope High School Agricultural Complex.

A mass of locals and staff of HHS gathered inside the new facility to commemorate the day.

Many of the district’s board members, administrators, and educators spoke about the agri addition with a sense of pride.

Superintendent Johnathon Crossley said, “Three and a half years ago, we started the process for a couple of facilities projects and this is one of them. We had the renovation of John Fieldhouse that happened about a year and a half ago. This is another big one. We don't have the furniture in here yet and all that's coming in the next semester, it'll all be top of line furniture to match the top of line facility that we will have here,” Crossley said.

He went on to talk about the HHS staff and the pride they have carried for this project. “I am very proud of the efforts of the staff, proud of their students, proud of their program and really feel good about being proud of this facility as well.”

Mayor Don Still was present and expressed gratitude for Hope School District, the new Agricultural Development and everyone who had a hand in making this happen.

Executive Director of the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce, Christy Burns, said “It is so nice to see new developments within our education system. HHS cares about the future of our children.”

The ribbon was cut to a round of thunderous applause. The agricultural complex is an amazing addition to the school that students can enjoy for years to come.
