"The people of the community have been responisble for keeping us going all these years," McFadden said. "My father started this business in 1934 and we are very grateful for all of the support we've received. We wanted to let the community know that we appreciated them and this event was a good way to reach as many people as possible."

The Hicks family brought a plethora of sweet treats and savory snacks for guests, as well as multiple pictures, plaques, news clippings, and displays of the family business's history. A history that is rich with experiences of helping those dealing with a personal loss.
