FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas has added nine recruits since the second transfer portal opened on April 16.

It closed on April 30, but schools are still allowed to add recruits who are in the portal for the Class of 2024. The Razorbacks signed 13 recruits from the transfer portal in the first period and all enrolled at midterm going through spring drills. Arkansas still has three remaining scholarships for the Class of 2024.

The second portal opening has seen the Razorbacks add a quarterback, two running backs, a wide receiver and one offensive lineman. On defense, the Hogs have added a tackle, two linebackers and a safety.

Coastal Carolina quarterback Blake Boda, 6-4, 210, was set to become the starter at his former school, but opted for Arkansas. He completed his only pass in 2023 for 14 yards. Boda committed to Bobby Petrino when he was at UNLV, but then reopened his recruiting when the coach left for Texas A&M. Boda replaces Jacolby Criswell who returned to North Carolina following spring football.

The Razorbacks landed former Florida State running back Rodney Hill, 5-10, 190. Hill played two years for Florida State. He transferred to Florida A&M at midterm, but never did suit up for them. He reentered the transfer portal when it opened back up in April. Arkansas lost Isaiah Augustave and Dominique Johnson at running back to the transfer portal following spring drills.

In 2022, Hill rushed 27 times for 144 yards and one touchdown. In 2023, Hill carried 50 times for 190 yards and one touchdown. He caught five passes for 83 yards.

The Razorbacks also added Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College running back Tyrell Reed, 5-9, 205. Reed played one season at Hutchinson out of Lawrence (Kan.) High School. He will have four years to play three for the Hogs. In 2023, Reed played in 11 games. He rushed 132 times for 833 yards and 13 touchdowns. He caught one pass for five yards and returned two kickoffs 22 yards. Reed has elite speed.

Another player with elite speed is former South Florida wide receiver Khafre Brown, 6-0, 195. In 2023, the speedster caught 27 passes for 435 yards and five touchdowns. His brother is Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown. In the ninth grade, the last time he ran track, Brown was timed at 10.52 in the 100-meter dash and 21.2 in the 200 meters.

Joe More, 6-5, 307, is a versatile offensive lineman who transferred in from Syracuse. More is capable of playing all the spots on the offensive line. He played at Richmond before transferring to Syracuse for the 2023 season.

On the defensive side, former BYU defensive tackle Danny Saili, 6-2, 360, signed Monday. Saili played at Hutchinson alongside Reed in 2023. He transferred to BYU at midterm, but left following spring drills. At Hutchinson last fall, Saili played in 10 games. He had 21 tackles, 11 solo, 7.5 for loss, four sacks, a forced fumble, one pass breakup and blocked a kick. He is the first defensive tackle, portal or high school, in Class of 2024.

The Hogs have added two talented linebackers in the April portal opening. They have signed Marshall's Stephen Dix Jr., 6-2, 237, and Jacksonville State's Larry Worth, 6-4, 220. Dix spent one season at Marshall after previously playing at Florida State. In 2023, Dix had 67 tackles, 31 solo, seven for loss, two sacks and one fumble recovery.

In 2023, Worth had 63 tackles, 28 solo, six for loss, four sacks, one interception, two pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, forced a fumble and recovered one. The Hogs signed Georgia's Xavian Sorey Jr., 6-3, 224, in December.

In the back end of the secondary, Arkansas has added Utah State's Anthony Switzer, 6-0, 210, to the class to play the Hog position. He previously played at Arkansas State. In 2023 at Utah State, Switzer had 85 tackles, 39 solo, eight for loss, three sacks, one interception, five quarterback hurries, a fumble recovery and four pass breakups.

The new additions will report later this month or very early in June and all be eligible to play this fall. It's expected Arkansas could use its final three scholarships for an offensive lineman, defensive tackle and punter.
