FAYETTEVILLE -- On Tuesday night, Arkansas landed the biggest prize of its recruiting class for 2025 with the addition of consensus four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace.

Wallace, 6-1, 220, plays at Jessup (Ga.) Wayne County and chose the Hogs over finalists Florida State, Georgia and Florida. He took an official visit to Arkansas May 31-June 2. That was his first time to ever visit Arkansas.

"It was amazing,” Wallace said. "This is my first time being in Arkansas and it was everything I expected, It was beautiful. The campus was good, the coaches was good. Everybody was good."

Travis Williams, who will be his position's coach at Arkansas, was also his lead recruiter.

“That’s my dawg," Wallace said. "On and off the field, he’s the same. When my brother committed to him three of four years ago, he’s the same. He hasn’t changed. He’s still that guy.”

Williams is Arkansas' defensive coordinator. In 2023, Wallace had 58 tackles, four for loss, 10 quarterback hurries, three pass breakups and 1.5 sacks. As a sophomore, racked up 75 tackles, including 8.5 for loss, three quarterback hurries, 3 pass breakups,3 fumble recoveries, 2 sacks and an interception.

Wallace is rated very high in the nation both at his position and as an overall player. On3 and 247Sports both rate Wallace the No. 3 linebacker nationally and ESPN puts him No. 4. On3 rates him the No. 7 recruit in Georgia while 247Sports and ESPN rate him No. 8.
