FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas has landed Tennessee big man Jonas Aidoo out of the transfer portal.
Aidoo, 6-11, is a forward and center who was second-team All-SEC this season. He was also named to the All-SEC Defensive Team. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
In '23-24, Aidoo averaged 11.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 24.7 minutes per game while shooting 51.5% from the field and 62.6% from the free throw line.
He had a double-double in Tennessee's 92-63 win at Arkansas this season. Aidoo scored 23 points and pulled down 12 boards in the game. He was 11-of-14 from the field in that game.
He joins power forward-center Zvonimir Ivisic, 7-2, Ovetime Elite (Ga.) small forward Karter Knox, 6-6, Camden (N.J.) small forward Billy Richmond, 6-6, and Archbishop Stepinac point guard Boogie Fland, 6-2, in the class John Calipari has put together so far. That is also the only five scholarship players on the team as well.
