Overdose Awareness Day Paint The Town Purple Hope Floral
Hope, AR Goes Purple for International Overdose Awareness Day
August 31 of each year, International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is recognized globally as a day to remember and grieve those that we've lost, take action to encourage support and recovery, and help end overdose by spreading awareness about drug overdose prevention.

“Recognizing those people who go unseen” is about acknowledging people in our communities who are affected by overdose but might go unseen in the crisis. We mourn with the families and friends who have lost loved ones to overdose.

The substance use crisis in America has had a devastating impact on our community, families, and individuals.

We welcome and encourage you to help us paint the town PURPLE in memory of those gone too soon due to  overdose.

Hope Floral (501 South main Street) has graciously donated purple bows and ribbons in remembrance of those lost in this crisis. Let's end the stigma surrounding substance use.  If you are a business and would like to help us and be a part of painting our town purple, please contact :

Lindsey Wrinkle (PS) 870-826-2817 Or Sharon Taylor (PIT) 870-331-0657  Let's bring awareness to Hope AR.
