Hope- The Bobcats hosted DeQueen for Homecoming Friday night and the Bobcats got rolling early and would end up leading 49-0 at the half. The entire second half would have a running clock and the game would end with Hope defeating DeQueen 49-7. Tyler Patterson played a heck of a game with 219 yards passing with 4 TDs and ran for 42 yards and 1 TD. Isaac Love told me a couple of weeks ago the numbers were coming and since then it has been 38 points last week and 49 this week, Love had 6 catches for 113 yards and 2 TDs, bringing his season total to 6 TDs in 4 games. Tamorien Lindsey had 73 yards and a TD, while Donavan Jones got in on the scoring with an impressive 15-yard TD run. KD Gulley caught a TD pass from Patterson. Jay Monk had another great game with 7 catches for 71 yards and a TD. Defensively, the Bobcats looked great as they trusted the game-plan and covered their assignments well. Juan Ortiz had another huge game with 6 tackles and 2 fumble recoveries. KD Gulley had 4 tackles and forced a fumble, Aaroston Phillips had 6 tackles and a sack, and Lanid Westmoreland had 5 tackles. The win brings the Bobcats record to 2-2 (1-0), as they get ready to travel to Hot Springs this coming Friday in a big conference game.
