A morning scrimmage of seven-member versions of area high school and junior varsity football teams took place at Hope High School’s Hammons Stadium today. Among the teams were Hope, Murfreesboro, Nashville, Fouke and Hooten magazine’s #1 in the 3A Conference Prescott. The players wore helmets but no pads.
Hope’s varsity passing offense was clicking with accurate passing and good hands on display against Murfreesboro’s defense. One catch by Kelston Mask got the local fans going. Prescott’s varsity offense came out hot at first, helping itself to huge helpings of yards and points, but as the scrimmage wore on, Nashville’s defense stiffened up.
