Hope Bobcats host Media Day at Hammons

Media Day took place for the Hope Bobcats this morning under grey skies that occasionally gave off a stray drop. But the smiles from the cheerleaders were sunny and the Bobcats football players were upbeat as they posed on the bleachers for their annual group photos.

First, Cheerleading Coach Kirby Bradley led her squad to the bleachers. She said the ladies have five contests this year, with the first taking place in El Dorado November 5.

Then came the varsity Bobcats and coaching staff. Coach Phil Turner said his roster is about 38. “There’s still some opportunity to get in more work,” he said. “I think everybody’s healthy, so that’s the big thing.”

The Bobcats’ first game sees them hosting Nashville in Hammons Stadium September 2.
