Hope ConneXion Outreach Center hosts Chamber Community Coffee
The Hope ConneXion Outreach Center hosted the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce community coffee this morning. Locals gathered as volunteers gave tours of the expanding facility.

A variety of snacks were served to guests; fruits, veggies, dips, and sweet bites like cookies and brownies.

The Hope ConneXion is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that helps those in need throughout our community. Blessing Boxes filled with nonperishables, sock drives, clothing vouchers and so much more in a setting/location where people of all ages can come to get a little lift when their feet aren’t quite on the ground.

A kitchen one can cook a hot meal in, a place for warm showers, rooms with beds/couches to rest and reset, cooling rooms, computers and books for study, a game room, a sanctuary; these are just a few of the amenities this incredible organization provides to our locals who have a need. They also have a garden with fresh fruits and vegetables plus bee boxes for fresh honey.

Assistant Director Jennifer Martinez said, “Hosting the community coffee today is not just about showcasing what we have to offer to the community but gaining support in the form of sponsors and volunteers to help us further our objective here at The Hope ConneXion. We need assistance in all areas to continue to provide services. We don’t want to be the ambulance at the bottom of the hill so to speak, we want to be a fence."

Executive Director of the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce, Christy Burns said, “I am so proud we have an outreach place like Hope ConneXion. The services they offer are so needed and we appreciate everything they do for the community.”
