Hope Cross Country Teams Compete in Arkadelphia Over the Weekend
Arkadelphia- Coach Marshall was very impressed with his team this past Saturday as they competed in a loaded field against a lot of good competition. 13 Hope runners set new personal records.

For the Lady Cats, Brianna Maclaughlin led the way with a 16th place finish with a time of 23:02. Esme Leon was right on her heels, as she knocked about two minutes off her best time from last season, as Leon finished 17. Crystal Ortiz finished 47th, Ari Juanes 46th, and Sophia Johnson 61st to round out the teams top-5 finishers. Wendy Hernandez, Angelica Soto, Reyna Martinez, Allison Yhoss, and Samantha Castillo each ran for the Lady Cats as well. Coach Marshall is very excited about the growth of this group moving forward.

In the Varsity Boys, Brian Jimenez and Aniell Felipe finished 22nd and 23rd, as they both competed very well against a loaded field. Kevin Lozano was next in for Hope at 53rd, Gio Ruiz was 60, and Fabian Aguilar was 69th to round out the top-5 for Hope. Nathan Sanchez, Oswaldo Alvarado, Omar Cardona, Angel Pardo, Geraldo Rodriguez, Emir Barrientos, and Alex Hernandez rounded out the Bobcats team. This team should be in contention for a District Championship this season.

In the Jr. Boys, Elliot Vasquez led the way for the Bobcats with a 12:24 and a 47th place finish. In the Girls, Jeizlyn Barrios finished in 80th place to lead the way for the Jr. Lady Cats.
