Hope Cross Country Teams Compete Well in Nashville as Four Runners Medal
Nashville- The Hope Cross Country team headed to Nashville for the Scrapper Invitational. Brianna Maclaughlin had another great outing as she claimed 3rd place, as she followed up a great 2nd place finish last week in DeQueen. Maclaughlin looks primed to finish the year very strong and make a push for a top-2 finish in district. Esme Leon continues to turn heads as she put together another top-10 finish this week, as she finished in 6th place. Leon has improved drastically from last season and is trending in the right direction with the conference meet a few weeks away. Ari Juanes had a great showing in 16th overall at the meet, followed by Wendy Hernandez in 26th, and Allison Yhoss in 32nd to round out the team score of 40, which was good enough for 2nd place behind DeQueen. Crystal Ortiz finished in 37th, Reyna Martinez 40th, Angelica Soto 57th, Paola Dominguez 61st, and Angelina Soto 70th. 

In the Guys race, Aniell Felipe continues to lead the Bobcats, as he grabbed another top-5 finish, as he finished in 4th overall. Felipe has been great this season and he is looking ready to grab a top-5 finish in the conference meet. Brian Jimenez finished in 5th place, right behind Felipe. Jimenez has been excellent this season for Hope and he is primed for another great season, as he will look to earn a top-5 finish in the conference meet as well. Fabian Aguilar ran great and snagged 17th place, Kevin Lazano finished in 21st, and Nathan Sanchez finished in 23rd to round out the Bobcats team score, as they finished 2nd place behind DeQueen. Oswaldo Alvarado was 24th, Velazquez Mercado was 33rd, Omar Cardona 35th, Jose Juanes 38th, Gio Ruiz 41st, Anthony Dominguez 44th, Angel Pardo 50th, Dylan Mercado 51st, Geraldo Rodriguez 54th, Emir Barrientos 55th, Alex Hernandez 60th, and Carlos Garcia 71st. 

These two teams have had great seasons so far and they will be back in action next Saturday at Oaklawn.
