Hope Cross Country Wins 2nd Place in Both Girls and Guys Events with 6 Runners Earning Medals
DeQueen- The Hope XC teams showed out on Tuesday, with six total runners earning Top-15 spots at the Leopard Run in DeQueen. 

For the Lady Cats, Madelyne Maclaughlin won the event, earning the gold medal in a very impressive race in which she won by 20 seconds. Crystal Ortiz finished in 10th place overall and Allison Yhoss finished in 14th place. As a team, they finished Runner-up, with Sofia Serrano and Wendy Hernandez both finishing in the top-22. 

For the Bobcats, Kevin Lozano came in 6th place, leading the way for Hope, as Gio Ruiz came in 11th place, and Bradley Brown finishing 14th. As a team, the Bobcats were runner-up, as Nathan Sanchez finished 17th, Alan Basillio was 24th, and Emir Barrientos came in 27th place. 

In the Jr. High events, Javier Martinez was the top runner, as he finished in 15th place and earned a medal. Followed by Rey Mendoza, Angel Saloman, Rodrigo Olivo, Daniel Garcia, and Johnny Paredes. For the girls, Valeria Castillo led the way, with Jamie Prado and Wendy Toledano were the next top finishers. 

Hope is back on the trails this Saturday in Magnolia at SAU.
