Hope Downtown Market promotes A Taste of Hope at Hope Farmers' Market
The Hope Downtown Network joined Hope Farmers’ Market this morning to promote A Taste of Hope, a community event slated for October 5th that provides a fun activity for local residents, allows local restaurants to show off their top menu items, and raises funds for community projects. “Hope’s Diners and Drive-Ins is the theme for this year, and it will have a 1950’s/1960’s feel,” Barbara Noble, Board President of Hope Downtown Network, said. “All the restaurants that are going to participate will be here at the Hub that Saturday from 5pm to 8pm with samples of their food; plus, there will be a ton of activities going on around downtown.”

Noble said the proceeds from last year’s A Taste of Hope went to the Pocket Park, and this year’s proceeds will go toward a new project on which members of the community will vote and decide. She said tickets for A Taste of Hope will soon be available.

Another vendor joined the market today, Field’s Farm, offering herb and vegetable plants for sale to market patrons. Also in attendance today were Papa’s Honey with honey and pollen products, Farm on the Hill with fresh beef and cut flowers, and Keep it Simple with soup, dip, and other mixes. Reynold’s Farm, Silvey Farms, Solomon Farms, and Salinas Farms were also at the market today, providing fresh, locally-grown vegetables, baked goods, canned goods, and other homemade wares.

Hope Farmers’ Market takes place at the Hub every Tuesday morning from 7am to 11am.
