The Hope Farmers' Market held at the Hub in downtown Hope produced some impressive treats for a few kiddos this morning. The locally-grown fresh produce is the biggest draw for most area residents, but little Charlotte and Caleb were more than pleased with the cookies that their parents just bought from Carolyn's Kitchen. As seen in the picture above, Caleb was even willing to share. Plus, Haylei of the Fitch Family was selling lemonade to interested participants.

In addition to the sweet treats and baked goods offered by a few of the vendors, homemade wares were also abundant throughout the market. At Jennifer Martinez's booth, she had homemade fishing lures made by her her 13 and 14-year-old daughters, Mary and Melody, plus other homemade items and baked goods. Farm fresh beef, decorative plants, canned salsa and pickles, potatoes, onions, cabbage, and more could be found all around the eleven vendors' booths. Arnolds Farm, Solomon Farms, Silvey Farms, Young Sprouts, Mint Man, Farm on the Hill, Darlene Beasley, and Salinas Farms were also present today.

The Hope Downtown Network hosted the Hospitality Table this morning with plenty of baked goods and refreshments for patrons to sample. Hope Downtown Network President John Hollis said the organization was thrilled to participate in Hope Farmers' Market this morning. "We are happy to be here," Hollis said. "We are always willing to do anything that helps us promote and bring people downtown. We're really big supporters of Hope Farmers' Market and so glad to be here on this beautiful day."

The Hope Farmers' Market held at the Hub each Tuesday morning from 7am to 11am also holds a drawing for a free weekly gift basket with goodies donated by multiple vendors. Registration for the gift basket is free. Plus, this market is the place to go for fresh, locally-grown produce, baked goods, and a plethora of other homemade or homegrown items.
