Arkansas High scored on their first possession and continued to score in the first half as they took a 28-0 lead into the half. They would tack on 10 points in the 2nd half to end the game 38-0.
Offensively, Hope could not get much going as they had a hard time moving the football. Tyler Patterson would end the night with 32 yards and 3 INTs against a stingy Arkansas High secondary. Jay Monk had four catches for 36 yards, Tamorien Lindsey had 22 yards on the ground, and KD Gulley had 14 yards. Gulley played hard on both sides of the ball all game.
After the opening quarter, the defense played better as a unit but, had a tough time containing the dual-threat quarterback of Arkansas High. KD Gulley led the Bobcats with 11 tackles. Kamron Walton played well with 6 tackles, Juan Ortiz had 5 tackles, Corey Armstrong had 4 tackles and forced a fumble, while Jalen Staggers, Lanod Westmoreland, and JJ Gulley each had 3 tackles. The Bobcats are at home this Friday for Senior Night as they host Magnolia. Kickoff is at 7pm.
