The Hope Bobcats and Lady Bobcats ran up against the Arkadelphia Badgers on Friday night. Starting out, the Hope B Boys' Team put on a good show against their opponents, opening the night with a 35-32 win.
Unfortunately, things went downhill from there.
To say that the Senior Girls game was contentious would likely be an understatement. The Hope crowd was crying "foul" even if the referees wouldn't as Arkadelphia held the Lady Bobcats 32-6 at halftime. The Lady Bobcats came back during third period, putting up a score of 21 to 37 before Hope's Camron Robinson was pushed down and injured with 30 seconds left before fourth period. Undeterred, Robinson returned to the court during fourth period, only to be pushed down and injured again just three minutes in. Arkadelphia went on to win the game with a final score of 51-30, with the Hope crowd on their feet.
The Senior Boys match up was less contentious, but the Bobcat defense just couldn't seem to get their feet under them against Arkadelphia. By halftime, the seniors had put up a score of 30-15 in favor of the Badgers. The cemented their win against Hope with a final score of 61-40.
