Hope Farmers' Market

Terrie James from the county extension office with Deanna, the market manager

A great crowd turned out for the Hope Farmers' Market this morning at the Hub in downtown Hope. Local citizens on the hunt for fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and more browsed and shopped the vendor booths. The hospitality table was hosted by the U of A Division of Agriculture Research and Extension Office who brought hot coffee, muffins, and lots of interesting info from the county extension office. They also brought the recipes for those healthy, yet tasty muffins! Betty Wingfield shared with SWARK.Today why the crew from the county extension office were happy to be at the market today. Wingfield said, "We love supporting our local farmers, homemakers, and crafts people. We're excited to be here and help."

The vendors present at the market today were Arnold Farms. Salinas Farms, Carolyn's Kitchen. Sandy Creek Farms, Silvey Farms, Bright Family Farms, Heirloom Farms, Young Sprouts, Marilyn's Plants, the Mint Man, David Langston with his jams and jellies, and for the first time this year, Georgia's Baked Goods.

The Hope Farmers' Market is every Tuesday from 7am to 11am at the Hub in downtown Hope.
