The Hope Farmers Market had another successful morning at the Hub in downtown Hope today. Patrons were eagerly waiting in line at 7am to get those fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers. Many vendors sold out of their homegrown products within the hour. Salinas Farm, Arnold Farms, Heirloom Farm, Silvey Farm, and Young Sprouts provided fresh, local produce, baked goods, honey, eggs, bath products, and much more. Aunt Fern brought her fried pies, and the Mint Man had his mint plants and mint-flavored baked goods. All vendors and community members shared delight in the improved weather and, as always, the chance to visit and chat with other citizens of Hope and Hempstead County.  

This week's Hospitality Table was hosted by Kindred at Home; this was their first time at the Farmers' Market. Kindred at Home supplied fresh coffee, individually wrapped muffins, and unique Kindred at Home mementos, like jar openers and fans, for browsing shoppers. They also had a friendly hello and information about the many services of their organization which provides care for loved ones in the home. At the helm of the Hospitality Table, Deanna Allen, Kindred at Home’s Recruiter, shared with SWARK.Today her great experience at the Hope Farmers’ Market this morning. “This has been wonderful,” said Allen. “I have enjoyed being out in the fresh air and interacting with people. Seeing all these supporters at the Farmers’ Market is a welcome sight.”

The Hope Farmers’ Market is every Tuesday from 7am to 11am at the Hub in downtown Hope. Their partner markets are open in Nashville from 7am to 11am on Fridays and in Old Washington from 8am to noon on Saturdays. The Farmers’ Market is open and welcome to all who would like to buy fresh produce grown by local farmers in the community.
