Hope for PAWS to welcome Jordan's Way Tour as it stops in for show Oct. 7th
Hope For Paws, which raises funds to help with the caretaking and adoption process of cats and dogs in Hope will be welcoming the Jordan’s Way National Tour when it stops at the Hope Animal Control Facility in Fair Park on 1211 Jones Street, Tuesday, October 7th.

Jordan’s Way began in 2018 when Kris Rotunda of Safety Harbor, Florida began an effort to raise awareness and funds to adopt out pets after his own beloved dog, Jordan, a Bull Mastiff, German Shepherd, and Samoyed mix he had adopted after it had spent three years in a hot shelter in Florida, passed away at age 14.   Rotunda adopted Jordan during a time of defeat and depression and their relationship helped him get through this period.

Now Rotunda takes his Jordan’s Way shows on the road to raise funds for local animal shelters.  October 7th will be his second stop in Hope.  So far he has raised $13 million for shelters to make sure other animals like Jordan have a better chance of finding a loving, responsible home.

As founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jordan’s Way, Rotunda, a muscle-bound strongman, has gone quite far to serve the cause of animal welfare, including dragging a 250-ton tractor-trailer 13 miles and serving 72 hours of confinement in a dog kennel to advance the public’s understanding of what such treatment does to any creature.

As Hope for PAWS volunteer Lisa Chambless-Keeton explained, last year’s visit by Rotunda generated nearly $10,000 in donations and drew between 20 and 30 people. For a Jordan’s Way stop, Chambless Keeton said, “We make a huge mess and have a good time.”

The funding raised helps with the cost of feeding, sheltering, neutering/spaying and vaccinations for dogs and cats.

The event happens Tuesday, October 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
