Local businesses, organizations, and individuals are invited to design and display their very own scarecrows throughout downtown. Each creative display will line the streets for residents and visitors to enjoy as they stroll through town this fall.
“The Scarecrow Stroll is a fun and festive way to celebrate the season, bring our community together, and showcase creativity,” said Christy Burns, Executive Director of the Chamber. “We can’t wait to see downtown come alive with fall decorations and community spirit.”
How It Works:
- Who Can Participate? Local businesses, organizations, clubs, groups or individuals.
- What’s Involved? Design and set up your scarecrow in a designated downtown spot.
- When? Setup begins Monday, October 6th. Scarecrows must be removed by November 3rd.
- Requirements: Displays must be family-friendly, weather-resistant, and non-organic.Scarecrows should be 5–7 feet tall, attached only with zip ties (painting light poles is not allowed). The Chamber will assign each group’s light pole.
- Awards: Scarecrow Awards will be presented in the following categories:
o Golden Scarecrow (Overall Winner)
o Patch Perfect (Most on Brand)
o Crafty Crow (Most Creative)
o Top of the Cornfield (People’s Choice)
