Many local offices and services will be closed or out of operation Monday in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday.
Hempstead County:
The Hempstead County Courthouse, Road Department and Waste Department will be closed Monday, January 20 and will resume regular working hours on Tuesday, January 21.
Hempstead County trash routes for Monday, January 20 and Tuesday, January 21 will be collected on Tuesday, January 21. The county asks that you please have your trash out in bags by 7:00 a.m.
Hope:
The City of Hope offices, including City Hall, Public Works, Landfill and Park offices will be closed on Monday, January 20.
Residential trash
collection for City of Hope residents will change as follows:
Monday's normal route will be collected on Tuesday, January 21 and Tuesday's
normal route will be collected on Wednesday, January 22. There will be no
rubbish or limb pickup for the week.
Hope Water & Light
Hope Water & Light’s offices will be closed Monday, January 20 and will reopen Tuesday, January 21. If you have a water or electric emergency, you can still reach someone by calling 870-777-3000. If you need to drop off a payment, payments can be made with anything other than a money order at the payment kiosk on site.
