Hope High Students Community Service
HOPE, AR - As part of Arkansas state graduation requirements, Hope High School students must provide community service to local businesses and organizations. As per a Department of Education Commissioner's Memo, "Pursuant to Act 237 of 2023, AR LEARNS, all current 9th grade students who are set to graduate in the academic year 2026-2027 or beyond, are required to complete a minimum of seventy-five (75) clock hours of documented community service prior to graduation." Not only do students complete the community service work, but they are also required to document their work, including preparation, duties, and reflections on the service(s) provided.

Any business or organization in the Hope/Hempstead County area wishing to participate in the program should contact Doni Watson, High School Counselor, via phone or email at 870-777-3451 ext 606 or [email protected] for information.
