Hope Jr. Bobcats in Action
Hope- The Jr. Bobcats team has traveled to Magnolia and DeQueen the past couple of weeks and here are the results and stats from those two games.

In Magnolia, the Jr. Bobcats dropped a game to Magnolia 48-26 against a very athletic team. Austin Courtney had a good day as he threw for 137 yards and 3 TDs. Tra Gomer had a great all-around game as he had 74 yards rushing and also caught a 13-yard TD. Jaiden Brown also carried the ball 5 times for 19 yards. Bradley Brown was very explosive with 2 catches for 62 yards and 41 yards and a TD. Kelson White also caught a TD.

In DeQueen, Hope dropped a very low scoring game 16-6 to the Leopards as Hope committed three turnovers (2 INT, 1 Fumble). Tra Gomer had a great night with 164 yards on the ground and the lone TD, Jaiden Brown had 2 carries for 13 yards. Tyler Smith caught both balls from QB Austin Courtney for 14 yards. Coach Collins told me, “DeQueen did a good job of controlling the clock, putting themselves in a lot of 3 and short situations, and offensively couldn’t get in a rhythm.” JJ Gulley had a heck of a game on defense with 11 tackles and Bradley Brown had 10 tackles as well. Avaria Mask had 1 sack, Mask and Anthony Orosco each had 1 TFL. Kentravious Harris had a fumble recovery. The Jr. Bobcats are back in action Thursday as they host Hot Springs.
