The Hope Kiwanis joined the festival frenzy tonight and held their annual barbecue supper at the 47th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival. Cars lined up at Hope Fair Park so patrons could receive their to-go plates, and Kiwanians were at the ready with a warm welcome and some Hope hospitality.

Kiwanis has been holding this supper on Thursday night of the festival for many years, and member Catherine Cook said she and fellow Kiwanians were happy to continue the tradition. "This raises funds for our donations to charity and community service projects," Cook said.

Numerous Hope Kiwanis members agreed and said they were also excited to join in the fun of the festival.
