Hope Lions Club Auction a Success
The Hope Lions Club held their 71st Annual Christmas Auction this past weekend. At the Hope Lions Club Noon Meeting, Monday, President Mark Ross announced that this year’s auction brought in $33,378.00. Ross indicated this years amount was just shy of last year’s amount.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the organization had vere from their regular operating procedures and adhere to the Arkansas Department of Health Guidelines. Not expecting to reach their average attendance or even anywhere close to this years amount, Ross was thankful that the area merchants and citizens went above and beyond what was expected of them.

Ross also would like to thank the merchants, citizens, and Lions Club members for their dedication to our community. This year proceeds will buy food baskets for the underprivileged and senior citizens within our community. Applications for the baskets can be picked up at the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce downtown or the Caney Creek Estates Mobile Home Park offices on West 3rd Street.
