The Hope Lions Club will host their 71st Annual Christmas Auction December 3-5, 2020. The auction will start each evening at 6 p.m. This year as usual, they will have hundreds of items up for auction that have been donated by area businesses as well as citizens.
Along with other smaller donations, the auction will feature much larger items including; four pallets of mulch from Old Castle, three bundles of roofing from New Millennium Building Systems, which will cover a roofing area of 30 x 30 buildings, a pallet of laminated wood from Funder America, a fire pit from the U of A Hope Welding Class and a 2006 Dodge Durango donated by Hope Auto Company & The Mclarty Family.
President Mark Ross said, "I want to thank all the merchants and citizens that have donated this year and all the other years prior."
Ross and other member of the Hope Lions Club are concerned about this years turn out due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Stating, "This year we are required to follow the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines."
The auction will be broadcasted on Swark.today, The Hope Lions Club Facebook page and radio KHOA-LP 107.9. Last year the organization raised approximately $35,000. All proceeds go toward purchasing Christmas baskets for our local underprivileged and senior citizens.
