Among the special guests at today's regular Lions Club meeting were thirteen new members of the Leo Club from Garrett Memorial Christian School. Their school sponsors are Beth Lloyd and Richard Allen and their Lions Club sponsors are Mark Ross, Debbie Marsh and Josie Carlton.

During the meeting, the Leo Club members took the pledge accepting membership with its accompanying responsibilities and privileges. Board members made another pledge and club officers each made yet another.

Leo Club members help the Lions Club with service projects but also undertake their own. They also are educated by Lions members about the variety of charitable work done by the organization.

The club at Garrett Memorial will total 15 members, since two were unable to attend the Monday meeting.
