Hope Lions & Evening Lions Joint Effort of Giving
The Hope Lions and Hope Evening Lions Clubs met on Monday morning to assemble their Annual Christmas Baskets. The contents of the baskets were provided with proceeds from this years Annual Christmas Auction & Evening Lions Concessions.

According to Hope Lions Club President Mark Ross, the club gathered supplies for over 130 baskets. Ross said, "This venture would not be possible without the support of our community, businesses and citizens. The Lions International motto is 'We Serve' and that is exactly what we do here in Hempstead County."

The Lions Club would like to thank the local Boy Scouts from Troop 5 for helping put the baskets together. The Evening Club assisted the Noon Club as well by donating various toys for the families with children.

Hope Evening Lions Club President John King commented, "The Evening Lions Club is doing this project because they also go by the 'We Serve' Motto. He further stated they also do it to help the kids, he advised the Noon Club has been helping the adult community and their club wanted to help the kids as well."

After assembling was complete, the club members went out across Hempstead County and delivered Christmas baskets to families in need.
