The Hope Piranhas capped their summer season by winning the South Arkansas Swim Association Championships' small-team, summer-only division Saturday at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia.

The Piranhas, whose team is comprised of seven young athletes, claimed first-place team honors while also producing two individual High Point champions. Piper Segovis earned the girls eight-and-under High Point award after winning all four of her individual events and scoring a perfect 80 points. Titus Rodgers captured the boys eight-and-under High Point title with 74 points.

"We're incredibly proud of how this team competed," coach Kelly Wilcox said. "Taking only seven swimmers and coming away with a first-place team finish says a lot about their hard work and determination all season. Piper and Titus had outstanding performances, but every swimmer contributed to this championship."

The South Arkansas Swim Association Championships brought together 10 teams from across Southwest Arkansas to compete in 92 events. Both year-round and summer-only swim programs participated, with the Hope Piranhas competing in the small-team, summer-only division.

Hope's championship roster included Sadie Miller, Carter Wilcox, Khloe Rodgers, Titus Rodgers, Piper Segovis, Kylie Revels and Raffe Interlante.

Kelly Wilcox and Amy Miller are the team's coaches.
